What is * A Light Touch?
|
* A Light Touch is the brand name I use for the yoga and massage treatments I offer to clients.
The name is inspired by this quote from Ra, on the last session of the communication between them and Don Elkins, the questioner. " I am Ra. All is most whole-heartedly oriented for support here. Perceive the group as here: a location in time/space. Within this true home, keep the light touch. Laugh together, and find joy in and with each other. All else is most fully accomplished or planned for accomplishment. " (https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/106#20) |
My background |
I've become an Esalen Massage practitioner quite by chance in 2017. 'The way of the Body' became a path of life for me because of suffering from frozen shoulders. It was my response to helping myself. I received the training with my excellent teachers Perry and Johanna Holloman (deepbodywork.com) at Findhorn Foundation. Since 2017 I've been practising giving Esalen Massage and deepening in the beautiful path of mind/body/spirit integration and wholeness.
Now that I cast my mind back over the path of my life, I can see that my training had begun long before I enrolled on the Esalen Massage course. In my practice I integrate my understanding of the archetypes, as I know them from the Law of One and my twenty five years of apprenticeship with Love/Light Research. I draw insight from my training with Marion Woodman at Schumacher College and the significance of dream symbology. My training with my beloved teachers Nancy Melon and Ashley Ramsden on the Body Eloquence had been a preparation to know the language of the body from the vast resource of the story world. I was gifted a set of cards on Sacred Body Sites by my dear guide and teacher Stephanie Mines and have been learning about and integrating the TARA approach in my practice. I am most blessed to be learning and practising with my dear yoga teacher, Louise Simmons. Her classes are not just about Scaravelli inspired yoga, but about a way of life to live in a deeply connected way in my body. Often, after a yoga class with Louise, I feel like a bird, free, and light. You could say I have been coming home to my body to know the joy of my spine, and every joint, awakened, breathing like a tree. So the path of being a massage practitioner has come to me as gifts from many directions. |
My vision? |
Imagine your body is aching. There is tension in your muscles, and pain in your joints. You want relief. You want to live in your body as it is meant to be, in lightness and wholeness. You are looking for a teacher and practitioner who can help you to find the source of release and renewal in your body, any time of the day or night, when you need help.
The teacher and helper your are looking for is yourself. What I delight in is to help you find your way to the language and intelligence of your body. Finding the ways to the wholeness of our bodies need discipline, practice, patience, deep listening. When I enter the river of my body, the world sings to me. My vision is to hear this subtle and pleasant song of the body with as many clients, students, and practitioners as I could encounter. So when you find an ache, or a pain somewhere in your body, you will know how to turn, how to enter the river of your own spine to release the blockage, to flow freely again. |
How to Realise This vision? |
I am teaching regular classes and workshops in Findhorn at the moment. The next block of teachings is in March-April at Findhorn Ecovillage. Please see poster below.

About the CourseThe course is designed to take place once a week over 7 weeks. It will be taking place in my practice room in Findhorn.
We will practice Scaravelli yoga and observe how our bodies feel when allowed deeper connections find their ways. We will experience our joints, bones, spine, and muscles relax and shine with their natural intelligence. We will hear the song of our bodies in the orchestra of the natural laws. Slowly we learn to practice and touch others in healing ways to help them release tension and experience the wholeness of their bodies. We deepen in the art and practice of massage with the intention to offer our skills to our friends and relations. As we practice and grow with the art of massage, we create ripple effects in our communities. Jim McCarty : The best massage I’ve ever had. 2019, Prague.
Kathy Tyler : Pupak creates warm and loving environment, inviting the body to relax in her knowledgable hands. Massage is an art as well as an act of healing. Pupak brings both together masterfully. |
Geoff Dalglish : Beautiful and calm massage space. It was a deeply relaxing and nourishing massage where I felt safe, supported, encouraged. Strong feeling that it was much more than a physical practice, but given with love and tenderness to invigorate and heal on the emotional and spiritual levels. Felt firm but not too hard - just right. Feeling much gratitude.
Heather Ripley : Most profoundly relaxing massage I have had for a long time; completely spaced out. Pupak has a very strong confident touch. Her flow is exceptional and she has a really strong healing energy. I felt in such safe hands I could relax far more deeply than usual. John Hyslop : I met Pupak several years ago and eventually plucked up the courage to ask her for a massage as my body size and image is still holding Trauma and shame. Pupak listened to my fears and concerns and spent nearly two hours working on my body which is still holding tension. Through her presence and her intuitive way of working I’ve continued to allow myself to be held and touched by her delicate understanding. I’ve no words to describe how valuable an asset she is. If you get the opportunity to work with her I highly recommend her. Dorota Owen : Having a massage with Pupak is always a heavenly experience. She takes such gentle care of one’s soul as well as the body, merging a deep understanding of how both work together with a delicate sensitivity. Her massage studio is always warm and welcoming, a cosy retreat for a truly soothing experience. |
